The dog that almost was...

First off let me tell you all how much I love my job... most of the time that is. I love that I help give the gift of sight, especially to people I love! I helped little miss McKinley Jo pick out her first glasses. I am so excited for her.  Here are some of the glasses she tried on. She kept pulling the silliest faces. Last but not least, the frames she picked out. Super cute!  **** Memorial day morning is always spent with the Barber's. They cook the best breakfast. Ethan kept giving me the same crusty face, it was making us laugh so hard! and then there was this face... which also made us laugh. **** Now to the topic of this post. Chris and I have always wanted a dog, but Chris is allergic to them. We have tried getting one before with no success (darn you allergies!) So we tried again. Here is Daisy Bell. A ten year old wire fox terrier who is blind in one eye, nearly blind in the other, and her original owners had her voice box removed. So sad. We brought her home, had Shari cu...

Have no fear, the Underdog is here!

And the winner is... I am honestly so happy that Kris won! I did predict from the beginning that Adam would win (so close!) But I think any of the top 4 had a chance and I would have been happy with ANY of them . Such a good season. I know I never posted anything about Dancing with the Stars, but I LOVE that Shawn won! I totally thought Gilles had it in the bag, but what a surprise! By the way, I am SUPER excited for So you think you can dance! Any one else? This is my favorite TV show ever.

Best present ever!

First off, let me apologize for not posting anything for a while. It's not that I have been busy, just lazy I guess.  I celebrated my 25th birthday last week. Chris and I had gone shopping the Saturday before to get me some new clothes, just so you know I was happy and content with what I had received. On my birthday Chris had mention something about another present. I thought he was serious and he knows I hate surprises. I brought it up later that day and he said he was just joking and he hadn't gotten me anything else. Now that made me a little upset because he lead me to believe he got me something else! Men. I had to work late so he stopped by and brought me a present. That made me mad again. But he made of for it because he got me a new digital camera! Booya! I have been waiting pretty much my whole life to get an SLR and the time has now come. Thanks Chris for the greatest surprise. The next part of the post is a small sampling of my b-day party, mothers day, and Garrett...

Stimulating... the economy.

Wahoo! Life is great. Really. Chris is finished with another semester (and didn't fail any classes ;)  Also,  I have a husband back... for now. The only thing with Chris being done with school is now he fills in his time with soccer.  If it isn't one thing, it's something else. I am so happy it is spring. Who is with me here? We are fixing up the outside of our house this year and hopefully the inside next year.   In case you can't remember what my barn house looks like... here you go. Scary isn't it? Don't worry, the awnings are already gone. First up is new windows. Thank you $1500 tax credit! We were going to do windows last year and boy are we glad we waited. I would have to say that we are doing our part to "stimulate the economy."  First, new car.  Nice picture, huh? Second, new t.v. I put this together myself. Aren't you proud? Chris and I seriously feel like we aren't doing anything different as far as spending money goes. We have been ...
