Here is our new tradition. Sunday night is watch a movie from our childhood night. You remember those movies that you just loved and you thought were the best movies ever? Think again. Chris's 1st choice- Cloak & Dagger I had never even heard of this movie (have you?), but apparently Chris loved it as a kid. Chris's rating as a kid- 5 stars Chris's rating now- 4 stars I came home from a singing practice and Chris was about 1/4 way through the movie and I asked him how he was liking his movie. He said it was way intense and just as good as he remembered. Jena's 1st choice- The Dark Crystal Jena's rating as a kid- 4 stars Jena's rating now- 2 stars Chris had never seen this movie before and would be fine with never seeing it again. I think I will have to agree. **** On to old traditions. Christmas at the Barber house. Every year we get together a few days before Christmas (so everyone can be there at the same time) to eat dinner, read Christmas stories, watch...

I can't imagine anyone who lives in Utah and doesn't go down to Temple Square to see the lights. So, naturally we went. First stop, Joseph Smith Memorial building to watch Annette sing with her group, Cinnamon Creek folk singers. Here we are waiting for them to sing. I forgot just how beautiful the architecture is in that building. Not the best venue for a small group to sing. Luckily they got to sing again at the South Visitors Center which was much better. Craig & Stefanie went to The Melting Pot on their honeymoon 4 years ago & suggested that we go there for dinner. We did & it was delicious! I STRONGLY recommend going. Bang! Bang! I got bangs. Yeah, it's been a long time. Lets say like 13 years ago. Forgive the photo please. I am home all by my lonesome so I have to rely on photo booth. In other news... cookies! This is my most favorite recipe because it is soooo easy. Thank you Amanda for baking these for me 3 years ago. I'm permanently hooked. Cake Mix cookies 1 package of Cherry Chip cake mix 1/2 cup of vegetable oil 2 eggs Bake @ 350 for 10 minutes Easy, huh? And they taste delicious.

There are certain sports that I really don't like to watch. Here's a few. Sorry to anyone who just absolutely loves these sports. - American football- not fast paced enough. For example, a 50 min. game lasts 4 flippin' hours. -baseball- fun to play, but not to watch. -basketball- I guess out of all on the list I can tolerate this the most. -golf- boring. -nascar- how many times can you really watch cars go around a track? Now, there are some that, like I said, I could watch all day. Rugby, and here is the reason why. Jonny Wilkinson (my new boyfriend) England's captain and kicker. Come on ladies, you could watch him all day too. Another reason why I like rugby over say American football is as follows... -fast paced -there are no time outs or huddles -they still tackle, but don't wear any pads ( so you can see their wonderfully sculpted bodies ;0) -in order to score a "touch down" you actually have to touch the ball to the ground. The house is painted! We love having such wonderful parents who will drop anything and come & paint on a Saturday. I didn't take pictures of the all the guys who came & painted the top half of the house. You know who you are... thank you SO much! After we finished painting, it was time to rake up the leaves. Boy oh boy do we have a tone a leaves! I hope everyone is have a fabulous fall so far. I truly can't believe that Thanksgiving is 2 weeks away. I love this time of year.

Well hello there! Long time, huh? I have been SO excited for this here post and so I won't keep you (or should I say me) waiting any longer. Every year, me and my family, put on a Halloween party and this years theme was Wild West Hoedown. Such a huge success! I can't believe that 5 years have gone by since we started this tradition.
