One Day

I applied for my passport today so it got me thinking...
One day we plan on visiting every one of these places or at least I am.
They are in no particular order, just so you know.

Lisbon, Portugal
This is where Chris was called on his mission so we decided the first time we go to Europe, this would be it. We actually are really going there this October for our 5th anniversary. Needless to say I can't wait! I know you are all jealous.

Maui, Hawaii
Since we bought out tickets to Portugal we earned two free tickets to anywhere in the US. I think I have talked Chris into going to Maui. My sister Carrie went there on her honeymoon and absolutely loved it, so I thought we would give it a try.

Australia

I have always wanted to hold a Koala bear so what a better place to do it. Isn't this the cutest koala you have ever seen?

Egypt, Africa

I have also wanted to ride a camel, crazy huh? I also am fascinated with the pyramids. I think my grandpa went here once and I just think it would be amazazing.

Machu Picchu, Peru
How can you look at this and not want to go there. There is only one hotel in Machu Picchu (I think that sounds like some sort of Pokemon) It starts at $600 a night and goes up, but look at the bright side, it's all inclusive.

Athens, Greece

I watched a special on the History Channel or something on the Parthenon and I couldn't stop watching. They were talking about how they made all of these structures like the Parthenon and it just fascinated me. I really don't like Greek food though.

Ireland

This one is for Chris. He likes pretty much every sport that isn't played in the US. They play Gaelic Football here so we might as well go to a match. Plus, I really like rain.

Switzerland
My little brother Dallin is serving a mission here as we speak. I would like to go there when he gets back. It would be nice to have a tour guide on one of these trips. Oh, and I am sure we will go to a football game or two.

Fiji

Words can't describe. All I can think is that this would be a really relaxing vacation.

New Zealand

I want to see a Kiwi-not the fruit silly- the bird, and the Lord of the Rings trilogy was filmed here so its got to be awesome.

Russia
Russia seems so complicated to me. If I do go here I am definitely taking someone who has been there before. I really just want some of those Matryoshka dolls and it would be cool to get a  fur hat.

Easter Island, Chile

I just want to visit these guys, the Moais.

The United Kingdom

There are too many places we would visit in the UK just to go to football games, but I really want to go to Stonehenge in Wiltshire.

Yeah, I am sure that there are many more that I will think of later. Just so you know you are all welcome to go with us on any of these adventures and if there is any you want company on we're always game.

The purpose of all of this is so my nickname can be Wanderer :) just kidding.

Man, I would love to go to those places. We'll be saving for a while, though. Let us know where you'll be going after Hawaii and we can try to tag along.

Hey Wanderer! I'm almost done with The Host. It's so good. I would love to go to some of these places with you. We probably won't be able to go for awhile--since we're saving up for our Florida trip and then we'll be poor for awhile. I know Jeff would love to go to Ireland someday. Maui is awesome. Have you looked at that book I gave you?

I love to travel! I hope to visit these places too. And it is possible now that Glade is traveling and is earning sky miles. I just hope he will share and not be stingy!

Sounds good when are we going? I would love to go to Machu Picchu, Peru. We went to the Mayan ruins when we were in Cancun and loved it I think that Machu Picchu is the biggest one though. We have ten or so years to go to all those places, if we don't then we have to get another passport.

So excited for you to go on your anniversary trip! I like your new rule for your blog. It is a little odd to me too, when someone tells me they read my blog but didn't leave a comment. Makes me wonder who else looks at it but doesn't say anything. Why not? I think it's almost sneaky. lol. Well I'm excited for you to go on these great trips!

Playlist Fun

I thought this would be a cool idea, and a chance for me to brag about how awesome we are ;) I decided to create a playlist that only had bands on it that either Jena or I (or both) have seen in concert. So you are now listening to this playlist. Here is a little information to go along with the playlist: It only includes bands that we wanted to see, it doesn't include opening bands (unless we really liked them). You will notice that there is more than 1 song for a few of the bands. This reflects how many times we have seen them live. (Yes, I have seen Red Hot Chili Peppers 3 times, and I will see them again if I have the chance.) I refused to include songs from 2 of the concerts that Jena has been to, for personal reasons. These concerts are Garth Brooks and The Dixie Chicks. The first concert I ever went to was in 8th grade and it was Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. You know, from Led Zeppelin. I took my dad to see Deep Purple for Father's Day a few years back. Smoke on the Wate...

Look Who's Gettin' Married!

Dallin and Sam  are getting married in May! We just love Sam and are super excited to have her in our family. In other news... Jordis is 8 months old... ... and she has us laughing everyday! By the way, I will be making this here blog private .  You know the drill.  Leave your e-mail if you want an invite.

Our Everyday Life: Weeks 15-21

Where do I begin?! A lot has happened in the few short weeks that I haven't blogged. We unexpectedly moved back to Utah! Not only Utah, but our old hometown. **** Before we moved back to Utah, we visited family in Utah for Thanksgiving. Creating hand turkeys with Mema for thanksgiving. Jordis was quite positive that we couldn't see her. Barber Family Photo! I think he's pretty handsome... Boy band shot. All the grand kids.  We made candy sleds to race at GG's house with some of Jordis' cousins.  ****    We frequently head to the Harley store as a form of entertainment. Jordis could ride on this rocking  Harley all day. Notice that she HAS to wear gloves while riding. We had one last get together with some of our really good friends in Twin before we left. Visiting someones house that they decorate their entire yard and ...
