Best present ever!

First off, let me apologize for not posting anything for a while. It's not that I have been busy, just lazy I guess.
I celebrated my 25th birthday last week. Chris and I had gone shopping the Saturday before to get me some new clothes, just so you know I was happy and content with what I had received. On my birthday Chris had mention something about another present. I thought he was serious and he knows I hate surprises. I brought it up later that day and he said he was just joking and he hadn't gotten me anything else. Now that made me a little upset because he lead me to believe he got me something else! Men. I had to work late so he stopped by and brought me a present. That made me mad again. But he made of for it because he got me a new digital camera! Booya! I have been waiting pretty much my whole life to get an SLR and the time has now come. Thanks Chris for the greatest surprise.
The next part of the post is a small sampling of my b-day party, mothers day, and Garrett's b-day party yesterday. Be prepared. There are a lot of pictures.

Garrett turned 4 today! Happy birthday you handsome little devil you.

This was the best part of the day. Garrett was opening his last gift from mom and dad, it was a bike helmet (which he thought was a mask at first) can you see what is coming in the back ground?

A new bike! He was so excited.
Blowing out the candles.

Trent's parents had brought a huge water blow up toy. All of the kids loved it. Except maybe Brockston...
Here is Benson hanging out.
Benson and Brockston
I asked Garrett to do some posing for me and this is one of the many faces he did.
Sweet little Caleb. I just love that face. He looks just like Julie :)

Chris's new haircut. Just kidding. We buzzed it.

We hung out most of Mother's day at the Barber's and I went crazy with taking pictures. I had so many good subjects to shoot.

Here is my favorite of the day.
Kaydence swinging on the swing set.
Her nick name is monkey. I wonder why?
Teagan loves to have her picture taken!

For my birthday, we had a 70's themed party. It always fun to dress up.

We were so lucky to have a little brother who loves to shop at the DI. It was easy to find things to wear to the party.
Chris however went through a bell bottom stage in his life. It was a good thing he kept some of them.
Our good friend Cody cleaned up nicely for the party ;0)
Two of my beautiful sisters, Carrie and Julie.

My mom so wonderfully watched the kids while the adults could go out and play. When we got home Chris had to play with the boys. For some reason I like to have kids make angry faces. It makes me smile.
I just love this picture!
Hopefully you made it through this whole post and enjoyed some of the pictures!
More to come I'm sure.

I was just thinking yesterday that I needed to put pictures up of Garrett's b-day. I keep forgetting and I haven't had a lot of time. I'm glad you got some picts up. They turned out cute.

Playlist Fun

I thought this would be a cool idea, and a chance for me to brag about how awesome we are ;) I decided to create a playlist that only had bands on it that either Jena or I (or both) have seen in concert. So you are now listening to this playlist. Here is a little information to go along with the playlist: It only includes bands that we wanted to see, it doesn't include opening bands (unless we really liked them). You will notice that there is more than 1 song for a few of the bands. This reflects how many times we have seen them live. (Yes, I have seen Red Hot Chili Peppers 3 times, and I will see them again if I have the chance.) I refused to include songs from 2 of the concerts that Jena has been to, for personal reasons. These concerts are Garth Brooks and The Dixie Chicks. The first concert I ever went to was in 8th grade and it was Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. You know, from Led Zeppelin. I took my dad to see Deep Purple for Father's Day a few years back. Smoke on the Wate...

Our Everyday Life: Weeks 15-21

Where do I begin?! A lot has happened in the few short weeks that I haven't blogged. We unexpectedly moved back to Utah! Not only Utah, but our old hometown. **** Before we moved back to Utah, we visited family in Utah for Thanksgiving. Creating hand turkeys with Mema for thanksgiving. Jordis was quite positive that we couldn't see her. Barber Family Photo! I think he's pretty handsome... Boy band shot. All the grand kids.  We made candy sleds to race at GG's house with some of Jordis' cousins.  ****    We frequently head to the Harley store as a form of entertainment. Jordis could ride on this rocking  Harley all day. Notice that she HAS to wear gloves while riding. We had one last get together with some of our really good friends in Twin before we left. Visiting someones house that they decorate their entire yard and ...
