Lately

Here's what the Barber's have been up to lately. Bed head.  Jordis's first Real Salt Lake game... and they won! Some blue jean water in the bathtub when the rinse cycle started on the washing machine. Which lead to this... Over $250 and a crumb load of tree roots in our pipes! The joys of being a home owner :0)  Hooray! We don't stink anymore. Jordis just loves taking showers. Baby bums are so cute! We support our  local hooker ! Utah's very own professional rugby team, the Warriors. By the way, they are really good. 100% organic and healthy dinner. Only the best at the Barber house. Meeting the newest member of Trent and Julie's family.   Sydney Jo Modeling new swimming suits. And of course, growing like a weed! We are happy to announce that Chris and Jena will both be graduating from Weber State this fall and are so excited for the next chapter in our life!

Awhile ago...

A past co-worker of mine suggested that I read a book called Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck. Knowing that we shared the same taste in books,  I put it on my overflowing wish list (meaning over 200 books!) on amazon.com and didn't think much about it again. A few months ago I did think about it, it was no longer being made so I had to wait until the new publisher put the book back out onto the market.  Why did I wait so long?! It was fabulous! I really liked this book and I'll tell you why.  The story pulled me right in. Kelsey is looking for a summer job to pass by the time until she heads of to her first year of college. She works temporarily at a circus and helps take care of a beautiful blue eyed white tiger. Strangely, she feels safe around the tiger and likes spending time with him. Well, the tiger ends up being an Indian prince who had a curse put upon him and his younger brother over 300 years ago. Kelsey ends up taking Ren (the tiger) back to India al...

Look Who's Gettin' Married!

Dallin and Sam  are getting married in May! We just love Sam and are super excited to have her in our family. In other news... Jordis is 8 months old... ... and she has us laughing everyday! By the way, I will be making this here blog private .  You know the drill.  Leave your e-mail if you want an invite.

I have a 6 month old

Here's a little photo shoot for you to enjoy  hmm... showing off her new "closed mouth" smile she can't resist sticking out her tongue always laughing at daddy I think she was done at this point (or she just wanted my camera)

Gingerbread Houses

Okay, so they weren't gingerbread houses. They were made out of gram crackers, but it was still so much fun! Not as easy as it looks though. It is now decided that the first Sunday in December is when the family will get together and make gingerbread houses.  I think next year I'll get ambitious and actually make some real gingerbread. I can't wait till next year! (this one is ours. nice isn't it?) Did you think she would miss out on all of the fun? No way! Happy Christmas everyone!

Rice Cereal Anyone?

The time has come to give this little girl some cereal. She couldn't take her eyes off of us when we ate so we thought we should give it a try. She did so well the first time she tried! Much better than I expected. The second and third time, no so much. She's got it down now though. Here are some pictures of her first attempt at eating her cereal. She really liked  her cute new bib. Wasn't sure what to think about this at first.  Mmmm... I like it!  We assumed she was done eating when she got more interested in her toes than her cereal. I just love her in this dress!  Where's Jordis? There she is! She loves to roll under her bouncer and scratch  the material.  Silly girl.
