The House of the Lord

My whole family (except Dallin of course) had the wonderful opportunity to go to the Draper Temple open house. Although we were waiting in line for a few hours, it was a truly beautiful experience as always. My favorite part was of course the Celestial room.
It was simply stunning.

Even though I had a great time, I can't get my mind off of the houses that were around the temple.
Here is an example of a house near by.
A bit much don't you think?
They are only asking a mere 4,800,000!
Don't get me wrong, it is a sight to behold, but good heck!
Honestly. Who needs a house with 10,000 square feet, indoor football field and basketball court, gigantic swimming pool, 8 car garage, and 6 bathrooms!
No one needs a house like this even if it is "living within your means".

p.s. I cut my hair and I mean I cut my hair! I don't have any good pictures yet, but when I do I will show you all.
Have a happy day! :0}

I just loved being with everyone in the temple. I just love you all! But it did take a little too long. We drove by that house...I didn't notice that it was for sale. That is crazy huge!

Looking back at the experience, I would have probably not gone if I knew it would take that long. I got grouchy as the kids grew tired and wrestless. I think next time, we should just wait til it's dedicated and go without kids. McKinley was the only one that really got anything out of it. She is old enough to ask questions and understand..sort of. Brockston thought he had a map and was checking off all the rooms we visited. It was pretty cute. I sometimes wonder if Paige is even aware of her surroundings. Funny girl. It was fun to be with everyone. And that house makes our new house look like a cardboard box.

I have seen that house advertised for sale in a few of the magazines that come to my work. It's the epitome of extravagance. It even has its own web site. Crazy. I wouldn't complain though. ;)

It was fun to go with all of you guys. I liked the Rexburg open house better where we had a guide and didn't have to wait at all and actually got to sit and ponder in the Celestial room. It was awesome. I understand that they need to get a lot of people through, though. Having a tired cranky kid didn't help either.

That house is CRAZY! There's a house here in town that has a basketball court and everything and the family ran out of money and now they have millions of dollars of leans on the house. It's too bad. Hope they sell that guy soon because that must be a humungo mortgage payment. it doesn't look like there's much of a yard. I would need a yard for the kiddos to play on.

It was fun going and being with all of the fam even though it did take a little long. We even stopped off at cold stone on the way home, but I had to feed Caleb so it was a good excuse to stop.

Playlist Fun

I thought this would be a cool idea, and a chance for me to brag about how awesome we are ;) I decided to create a playlist that only had bands on it that either Jena or I (or both) have seen in concert. So you are now listening to this playlist. Here is a little information to go along with the playlist: It only includes bands that we wanted to see, it doesn't include opening bands (unless we really liked them). You will notice that there is more than 1 song for a few of the bands. This reflects how many times we have seen them live. (Yes, I have seen Red Hot Chili Peppers 3 times, and I will see them again if I have the chance.) I refused to include songs from 2 of the concerts that Jena has been to, for personal reasons. These concerts are Garth Brooks and The Dixie Chicks. The first concert I ever went to was in 8th grade and it was Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. You know, from Led Zeppelin. I took my dad to see Deep Purple for Father's Day a few years back. Smoke on the Wate...

Our Everyday Life: Weeks 15-21

Where do I begin?! A lot has happened in the few short weeks that I haven't blogged. We unexpectedly moved back to Utah! Not only Utah, but our old hometown. **** Before we moved back to Utah, we visited family in Utah for Thanksgiving. Creating hand turkeys with Mema for thanksgiving. Jordis was quite positive that we couldn't see her. Barber Family Photo! I think he's pretty handsome... Boy band shot. All the grand kids.  We made candy sleds to race at GG's house with some of Jordis' cousins.  ****    We frequently head to the Harley store as a form of entertainment. Jordis could ride on this rocking  Harley all day. Notice that she HAS to wear gloves while riding. We had one last get together with some of our really good friends in Twin before we left. Visiting someones house that they decorate their entire yard and ...
