Honestly, so happy about the results from AI last night. It couldn't have been better! I LOVED Kris's performance. There is something about him that I really like. Definitely the best of the night. Hurray! Hurray! No more Anoop! And no more Lil'! **** Last saturday everyone I work with did a 1 mile walk for a family support center in Brigham. It was so much fun and such a great experience.   **** Chris's brother and one of our really good friends, graduated from USU on friday.  We are so proud of both of them . Dan graduated Magna Cum Laude!

So, tonight on American Idol the theme was songs from the movies... where do they come up with these categories? On top of that, why was Quentin Tarantino the guest mentor? Don't get me wrong, he is an amazing movie director and I love most of his movies, but what does he know about singing? Also, I don't like that only two of the judges get to comment because that means I don't get to hear what Simon has to to say on half of them.  I will do things a little different tonight by giving my 2 cents on every performance.  Take it for what it's worth. Allison: Don't want to miss a thing I have always liked Allison and it is true what Simon said. She is the "girl's" only hope. Anoop: Everything I do Still don't like you Mr. Desai even if you did sound a little better tonight. Adam: Born to be wild What can I say... loved it. Are you surprised? My apologies for no pictures to begin with, but I want to go to bed soon. Also, so mad that they went over again... do they think that most people watch this show live? Everyone I know records it to fast forward through the commercials and most of what the "judges" have to say.  p.s. Paula had lip stick on her teeth at one point in time. Thats a classic. :)  Not much to say other than Adam freakin' rocked my socks off. Obviously the best of the night. No top 3, everyone was just meh. That's right, meh. NO MORE SYMPATHY VOTE! Scott needs to go home. Who's with me on this one? I still don't like Lil' Rounds even though she picked a better song. How has she never been in the bottom?  If you are like me and Adams performance didn't get recorded on your DVR, I highly recommend finding it online. www.rickey.org has it but you better hurry 'cause it probably won't be there for long. I don't know  why I haven't been doing my AI opinion stuff on here so... I'm back! Here is the top performances of the night. My ABSOLUTE favorite was Adam! I love everything that he has done. He is my pick to win the whole thing. Danny was of course great and I am always happy when Kris does well.       Now to the bottom three ... I have never really gotten Anoop . I just don't like him and I wouldn't be sad if he goes home tonight. Megan I bet won't go home, but she should. I really like Matt but no one else seems to.       The worst of the night goes to... Lil' Rounds I hated everything about her performance! Did she seriously do Surrender? Go back to season one and watch Kelly sing it even though she was sick... now that was amazing. Also, why does it matter what they are wearing? Allison might be in the bottom just because they didn't like her outfit. What the heck.

The day has finally come! Dallin is home from his mission in Zurich Switzerland. He didn't fly in to SLC until about 6:30 p.m. last night. We all waited so patiently (we waited 2 years what's a few hours?).   Here is the "Welcome Home" sign I made (nothing too special). One of my favorite parts was when Dallin was coming from the plane to baggage claim, he took the stairs instead of the escalator because he was so excited to see us. It made me smile :0) My parents are so proud of their missionary. Hot dang, I love this kid! Dallin talking to Dana because they are in a play for their stake so they couldn't go to the airport. We were sad they couldn't be there. We surprised my grandma by showing up at 9:30 p.m. to say hello. She just held Dallin's face in her tiny hands for like 10 mins. She was so excited to see him. I usually try my best to keep out of political discussions, because honestly, I think that about 99% of people don't know what they heck they are talking about (me included). However, this is something that I just can't keep to myself. Glenn Beck has come up with something called 'We Surround Them'. I don't really even know what it is, because he is keeping it a secret. I am at a loss for words. I was so bored with the show this week I wanted to turn it off! The past two weeks were pretty easy to pick who would go through, but not this week.  Here it goes. Top Girl Lil Rounds I haven't really been a fan but she was one of the best tonight. That isn't saying much. Top Boy Scott MacIntyre *This is not who I think should go through, but this is who will probably go through. In all honesty  Von Smith was probably the best boy. Look at that mouth! Runner Up Felica Barton Where did this girl come from? Who's place did she take? This was that hardest one to pick because most of the contestants were all just okay. I did think that Taylor Vaifanua did better tonight than in Hollywood and in her audition. I secretly hope she goes through. Who should NOT go through to the top 12?
