Hello Birdie!

This little birdie (and some of his friends) like to hang out in our yard. The funny thing is, is that they don't fly away when you get close to them. I mean, really close. I could probably pick them up. The thing I like most about these birds, (I don't know what kind he is) they have really short tail feathers. Just thought you ought to know.

Our theme for this month in Primary is on sharing the gospel. So for Singing Time I created this Missionary (I made him look like Dallin on purpose). He turned out a lot better than I had imagined. The older kids thought it was a little cheesy, but I think it went over well.

As you all know, Chris has been coaching his little brother's competition soccer team. They played a tournament in Roy this past weekend and won every single game! Which also means they won the tournament! Chris was so excited. He gets so much more joy out of coaching then he ever has out of playing the game (not that he doesn't like to play). I am so proud of him and his commitment to the team.

The blinds are up! Thanks dad. Now we just have to find some decorative curtains to finish the job.
Now on to the hallway!
This is what it looks like after the wallpaper came down. It took my mom and dad hours to get that stuff down. Note to self-NEVER use wallpaper! We are priming on Thursday and painting on Friday, then they can get new carpet.
This carpet will be gone soon. Are you sad about that?

I love your missionary. That is awesome. Congrats to Chris and his team. How fun to win the championship!!! Mom's house is looking great. I bought these decorative holder things a Lowe's and then you just drape fabric through it and it hangs. I think that would look nice. I did a dark green and next to my lighter green, I think it looks good because it's in the same family.

The missionary does look like Dallin---it's cute. Benson would love your little birds. He is always trying to catch birds in our yard. He would love it if he could even get really close to them without them flying away. The blinds look awesome. That hallway carpet is something I won't miss. You guys are doing a great job on the house. That is really cool that the soccer team Chris coaches won the tournament. Congrats!

DON"T LET THEM TAKE THE CARPET! That carpet is PRICELESS! Imagine all the memories that carpet has! I can't believe the carpet doesn't get a choice in whether it stays or goes. That is just wrong.

What a cute little birdie. The kids love it when the neighbors pigeons come eat breakfast in our backyard.
That is the cutest missionary in the world! Did you just freehand that? You could market that!
I think it is so cute that Chris coaches soccor. I'll bet they love him. All kids do. Well all of mine!
I must say I'm jealous. I would love to help with the whole decorating process! (I wish I had enough time to pee by myself).
Maybe by the time you get to the back room I can! Love your work!

Playlist Fun

I thought this would be a cool idea, and a chance for me to brag about how awesome we are ;) I decided to create a playlist that only had bands on it that either Jena or I (or both) have seen in concert. So you are now listening to this playlist. Here is a little information to go along with the playlist: It only includes bands that we wanted to see, it doesn't include opening bands (unless we really liked them). You will notice that there is more than 1 song for a few of the bands. This reflects how many times we have seen them live. (Yes, I have seen Red Hot Chili Peppers 3 times, and I will see them again if I have the chance.) I refused to include songs from 2 of the concerts that Jena has been to, for personal reasons. These concerts are Garth Brooks and The Dixie Chicks. The first concert I ever went to was in 8th grade and it was Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. You know, from Led Zeppelin. I took my dad to see Deep Purple for Father's Day a few years back. Smoke on the Wate...

Our Everyday Life: Weeks 15-21

Where do I begin?! A lot has happened in the few short weeks that I haven't blogged. We unexpectedly moved back to Utah! Not only Utah, but our old hometown. **** Before we moved back to Utah, we visited family in Utah for Thanksgiving. Creating hand turkeys with Mema for thanksgiving. Jordis was quite positive that we couldn't see her. Barber Family Photo! I think he's pretty handsome... Boy band shot. All the grand kids.  We made candy sleds to race at GG's house with some of Jordis' cousins.  ****    We frequently head to the Harley store as a form of entertainment. Jordis could ride on this rocking  Harley all day. Notice that she HAS to wear gloves while riding. We had one last get together with some of our really good friends in Twin before we left. Visiting someones house that they decorate their entire yard and ...
