Thinking about...

Do you ever lay in bed trying to go to sleep and you can't turn your brain off?
Well that's me... every night. Here are a few of the things that have been on the brain lately.

Friendship
Jessica & Ezra

My dear friend Jessica visited me the other day. She now lives in Texas so I rarely
see her and I am so happy she made time to see me.
p.s. I know you can't really see what she looks like, but Jessica is gorgeous and a wonderful mother :)
I can't wait to see her again.

Peach Days

I have this reoccurring dream about being late for the the parade. It drives me crazy! When I say reoccurring I mean like once a month. Why, oh why?

Halloween Hoe Down

I am getting so excited for Chris & Jena's 5th annual Halloween party!
The date is set for October 17th and the theme this year is a Wild Wild West Hoe Down.
I will post more details soon, but mark your calendars now!

Corvallis, Oregon

We still have about 2 years before Chris is done with his bachelors, but we still want to be prepared for where he wants to get his Masters.
This is out #1 choice.
We're going to visit Corvallis next year to see how we feel about it. Here's to the future.

For Sale?
So we're trying to decide when to sell our house because of the last subject above. We would also like to save some money before we go onto another school so Chris won't have to work.
The thought is to (if I can talk my aunt's & uncle's into it) move into my grandma's house and instead of paying rent, put that money into fixing up the house before they try and sale it.

There. Maybe telling you all this will help me sleep at night.
Maybe.

I do the same thing at night. My thoughts these days are pretty much all about teaching school and not having any $$$. I hate it the most when I wake up in the middle of the night and can't go back to sleep. There have been many early mornings where I've just decided to go to work because I can't go back to sleep. I'm so excited for Halloween!!!!

I have to make a list before I go to bed sometimes. And that's separate from keeping a journal..which helps me sleep too, btw. Oct. 17th, can't wait! Do you have a time yet? Let me know what you want to do for decor, I have some stuff.

sorry I'm such a blog slacker lately. I have to say that I can just go to sleep at night. Pete is like you, though, and I always feel bad. I can't wait for the halloween party and that's funny you were having dreams about being late for the parade. You crack me up!

Playlist Fun

I thought this would be a cool idea, and a chance for me to brag about how awesome we are ;) I decided to create a playlist that only had bands on it that either Jena or I (or both) have seen in concert. So you are now listening to this playlist. Here is a little information to go along with the playlist: It only includes bands that we wanted to see, it doesn't include opening bands (unless we really liked them). You will notice that there is more than 1 song for a few of the bands. This reflects how many times we have seen them live. (Yes, I have seen Red Hot Chili Peppers 3 times, and I will see them again if I have the chance.) I refused to include songs from 2 of the concerts that Jena has been to, for personal reasons. These concerts are Garth Brooks and The Dixie Chicks. The first concert I ever went to was in 8th grade and it was Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. You know, from Led Zeppelin. I took my dad to see Deep Purple for Father's Day a few years back. Smoke on the Wate...

Our Everyday Life: Weeks 15-21

Where do I begin?! A lot has happened in the few short weeks that I haven't blogged. We unexpectedly moved back to Utah! Not only Utah, but our old hometown. **** Before we moved back to Utah, we visited family in Utah for Thanksgiving. Creating hand turkeys with Mema for thanksgiving. Jordis was quite positive that we couldn't see her. Barber Family Photo! I think he's pretty handsome... Boy band shot. All the grand kids.  We made candy sleds to race at GG's house with some of Jordis' cousins.  ****    We frequently head to the Harley store as a form of entertainment. Jordis could ride on this rocking  Harley all day. Notice that she HAS to wear gloves while riding. We had one last get together with some of our really good friends in Twin before we left. Visiting someones house that they decorate their entire yard and ...
