The Flying Rimando!

I got a little off topic yesterday, so it's back to soccer now.... Real Salt Lake goal keeper Nick Rimando was named MLS player of the month for July. In 4 games he allowed only 1 goal and helped RSL get to #1 in the Western Conference standings. Congratulations to the Flying Rimando. Photos courtesy http://keepinitrealsl.blogspot.com/

I wish Superman was here...

We had an extremely fun and eventful weekend!  First off, we took Craig and Stefanie to Rooster's for their Birthdays. I seriously love that place. I think Chris is getting sick of me taking pictures of him. What do you think? Scott Nesiba was our server (Craig asked for him ) He so nicely took a picture of us as we were waiting for desert. :) After, we went to (as Chris calls it) Craig's dads lake. Its a man made lake in Honeyville and we have been out there before, but I had never brought my camera. Thank goodness I did this time. So we all took turns riding the little motorcycle. The guys make it look so easy to drive, but Stefanie and I are definitely not naturals. Craig decided to go water skiing so we piled into the boat to watch. Yeah, I wasn't about ready to try it. Chris and Craig built us a fire. It gets really cold at night still, who knew? After they built the fire (we wanted to roast marshellows-that's how Chris's nephew says it) we decided to go for a ...

Hello Birdie!

This little birdie (and some of his friends) like to hang out in our yard. The funny thing is, is that they don't fly away when you get close to them. I mean, really close. I could probably pick them up. The thing I like most about these birds, (I don't know what kind he is) they have really short tail feathers. Just thought you ought to know. **** Our theme for this month in Primary is on sharing the gospel. So for Singing Time I created this Missionary (I made him look like Dallin on purpose). He turned out a lot better than I had imagined. The older kids thought it was a little cheesy, but I think it went over well. **** As you all know, Chris has been coaching his little brother's competition soccer team. They played a tournament in Roy this past weekend and won every single game! Which also means they won the tournament! Chris was so excited. He gets so much more joy out of coaching then he ever has out of playing the game (not that he doesn't like to play). I am s...

Remember when...

Memories 1. As a comment on our blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me alittle or alot, anything you remember! 2. Next, repost these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's funny. You can actually leave one about me and about Chris if you would like.

Bang Bang, Shoot Shoot.

So, I like to shoot guns and so does Chris(who knew?). A lady I work withs husband use to be on the Highway Patrol and also worked for Mantua and Perry police. He is certified to give the classes on concealed weapons and Chris and I have been trying for months to get to Mantua and take the course so we could get our license. We did it on Saturday and it was so much fun. We got to shoot a variety of different guns so I could get a feel for what I want to purchase. I already had a gun  in mind for what I wanted and when I got to shoot it, it confirmed my decision.  Ta Da... A Springfield Armory 9mm EMP Here's Chris getting ready to shoot the EMP. Hard core. *********** Chris coaches his little brothers comp. soccer team and they got tickets to Saturdays RSL game. Waiting for the game to start. RSL won 2-0 against the Columbus Crew! That puts us in 1st place in the west!  Now that's a first.

What's a girl to do?

Chris has always told me that if American Idol held auditions in Utah that I should go and tryout just to see how far I can get. (chris hates american idol by the way) Well... July 29th... they're coming!  Now, I know how the audition process works with this show. You pretty much wait in line for hours to sing for 10 seconds in front of someone who knows nothing about music and they decide if you move onto "judge" #2. Chances of getting past the first two "judges" is pretty slim. It doesn't matter if you were good or not, it only matters if the "judge" was given the instructions to let specific people through. I truly don't know if I want to do it, but if I do... who's coming with me?
