There is nothing like high school

My sister Carrie did a post about high school and tagged anyone who went to Box Elder so here it goes. My answers are in Red and Chris's are in Green or if it is Black  our answers are the same. 1.Did you marry someone from your high school? Yes! 2.Did you car pool to school? My mom always took me except for my Senior year Chris picked me up. I think. With my cousins Shawn and Matt then my Senior year I picked up Jena. 3.What kind of car did you have? I did not personally have my own car, but when I drove, it was a 1984 Chevrolet Astro Van or the Explorer. I got a Nissan Altima the day I graduated though. 1966 Cutlass Supreme convertible and a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer ( I still wish I had it) My dad is currently fixing up the Cutlass. I can't wait till it's finished. 4. What kind of car do you drive now? 2001 Honda Accord 2007 Nissan Versa 5.It's Friday night...where are you (then)? Same answer as my sisters... Hanging out with my friends, school or church dances. Sitti...

If you don't want my opinion... don't read this.

OK, I went to the midnight showing of Twilight early friday morning. Jamie got me some tickets (thank you Jame!) and I took Carrisa with me, we did have a lot of fun. (my camera is still broken so sorry there are no pictures) However, I was truly disappointed with the movie and I even went in with "low" expectations! Where to do I even start with why I didn't like it... Of course when they make a movie from a book you expect things to be different. They did a few too many things out of place of left out or added in my opinion. For the most part the acting was cheesy. Don't get me wrong, there were some good parts. There were times that the movie was suppose to be serious and it was so funny. Everyone in the theater was laughing. I never really felt a connection between Edward and Bella.   Except when they kiss for the first time :)  but even that was out of place in the movie! I felt like it was forced and If I hadn't read the book I don't know if I would hav...

Not Going Private!

There has been a sudden surge of bloggers changing their blogs to private after a certain news station ran a story about the "dangers of blogging" a couple of weeks ago. This is just to let you all know that we are not letting a slow news day during sweeps month decide the future of our blog. There's a good possibility that we are going to do something completely random and spur of the moment in the future and you can read all about it right here, no password or invitation needed...

Guess what we did for FHE?

So, Chris called me at work Monday and said "You are probably going to say no, but do you want to go the Metallica concert tonight?" First I was like what kind of question is that? And then I thought how much are the tickets? He told me it would be free because a guy that Chris works with was going and their friends that were going with them got sick so we could have the tickets. Now, I am not a Metallica fan, but I knew Chris was or is still so I caved and we went. My camera for some reason wouldn't work ;0( so I don't have any pictures of the experience, but it was surprisingly fun! Nothing like the smell of beer and b.o. and watching completely wasted people trying to sing along to the song. It was great. Thanks Nate and Roxanne for the extremely memorable experience. Edit By Chris: I guess Jena forgot that I took pictures with my iPhone....Here are a couple.... **** Twilight Tag I got tagged from Jaime, so here it goes... *Who Introduced you to the Books? Lin...

Happy Halloweenie!

This is my absolute favorite time of year! For the past 4 years I have put on a costume party and this year's was THE best one so far. Thank you everybody who came and brought yummy delicious food! Here are a bunch of pictures my sister Dana took with her new camera (yes, I am jealous dad!) I wanted my hair in ringlets so Dana took a couple of hours curling every piece of my hair and then pinning it up. I felt so funny with it like this. So here is our finished product! We are Mrs. Lovett and Sweeney Todd. We went all out this year on our costumes and I didn't regret it. Carrie loves Halloween just as much as I do and she was so willing to help me with everything. And she puts up with me talking about Halloween in July! They dressed up as the ultimate Florida Gators fans. Pete, Dana, and Jonas as Todd and Sarah Palin. Jonas is the Republican Elephant. I thought that this was so creative and Dana kinda looks like Sarah. Glade and Shari were Uncle Sam and the Statue of Liberty. M...

The End.

Okay, so this is the last of it. Almost everyday we ate ice cream or *gelato* at this awesome place called Finzi Contini. If I could, I would open one of these in Utah... it was that good. On our last day we went to the "newer" part of town. This area has recently been updated because they had the worlds fair in 1998. One place we stopped by was the Oceanarium. These guys are my favorite at any aquarium! They were actually huge...and sleeping. I was sad that they weren't playing but, they both had a piece of seaweed wrapped around them like a blanket. It was so cute ! I wish you all could have seen this guy. He weighs 2 tons and he was probably the weirdest fish I have ever seen. Penguins The floating walk way. We stopped off for some lunch at a place called Irish & Co. Once again I got chicken and it has never tasted like this before. You know the seasoning you can use in ramen noodles, that's what it tasted like. Kinda weird. This is one of the many "toast...

Sintra

This was by far one of the best places we visited. So much character and charm. Buildings so close together with small winding roads. I loved it. Walking through the streets of Sintra There were plenty of fresh water fountains that you could actually drink from. I don't know why, but we never drank from them. Quinta da Regaleira A large mansion with acres of huge gardens and under ground tunnels. We toured the inside of the mansion. It was pretty freaky. I am positive it's haunted. At the top of the mansion. Walking around the grounds. Yes, that is green water. These stones lead to underground tunnels. We were scared to cross them at first but Chris got brave and we figured out that we were suppose to cross them. If you have ever watched MXC you might have an idea why he was scared. Sinkers & Floaters. This was the best part of the grounds. A huge tower! Here we are walking around the top and looking down the tower. This is the view from the top. Castelo dos Mouros ...
